Do you know if the Hawks games can be heard on the Internet?

Gary Garland's Response

The Hawks don't broadcast anything in english. And I haven't seen any radio broadcasts of their games myself. However, that could change. We'll have to see what happens next season. The thing is that the Hawks parent company is in a bad way financially even if the ballclub itself is somewhat profitable. Therefore, I don't know if they would approve the expense necessary to broadcast on the net. The Lions do it. Yokohama does it for a fee. Hiroshima does it on occasion. Yakult used to do it, but didn't this past season. Hopefully, the Japanese ballclubs will get hip and do so. But the people running Japanese baseball are pretty clueless. Those guys make Selig look like a genius.

Take care,

Gary
