April 11, 2002 - The most consecutive hits by a player in a game was seven, by Tokyu Flyers outfielder Hiroshi Oshita on November 19th, 1949 against the Taiyo Whales. He went on to slug 38 homers and drive in 102 while batting .305 in 130 games that season.

He batted .303 lifetime with 201 homers. Both the homer and RBI totals were career highs. He was a three time batting crown winner and earned an MVP in 1954 for the Nishitetsu Lions, the same season he hit for the cycle..
