Japanese Baseball Fielding Data

Can you point me to some place or publication (in English) where I can find fielding stats for past seasons of Japanese baseball? I have found tons of batting stats but almost nothing for fielding.

has defensive games, putouts, assists, errors and

passed balls for the following:

1967 Central and 1967 Braves in 1967 folder,

1976 Central

1992, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999, and 2000

plus the following teams in the assorted champion

teams folder:

1950 Orions and Robins, 1951 and 1953 Giants and Hawks

(both seasons), 1957 Lions, 1977 Giants, and 1978

Braves.

You will have to join the jball group. This is free

if you don't count the info you will have to give

Yahoo in order to join.

This is all the data I know of in English. If you

want more, I suggest contacting Michael Westbay at

japanesebaseball.com in the Ask the Commish forum and

see what he can do for you. Unfortunately, the

defensive data is apparently not easy to come by even

if one reads Japanese, and few people who can do so

have taken the time to do the translations and make

them available in English.
