Question on Glove Use in 1901

"I am trying to find an expert who can answer questions I have about use of the baseball glove. I am doing some baseball research on the 1901 Chicago White Stockings, but have not been able to figure out if players were all using gloves in 1901, or some were and some weren't, or few were. Do you know of anyone who is an expert in the area of glove use?"

John Holway's Response

I believe all players used gloves; however, they were tight-fitting kid gloves, rather than today's big jai alai cestas.
