May I remind the world that Pete Rose was never convicted of anything but tax avoidance, which has nothing to do with baseball.The feds took care of that.The powers that be, just surmized Pete bet on baseball, which was never prooven. Consider this fact: If you hit 200 hits a year for 20 years, you would still be 256 short of Pete Rose's record. If he would have been a rock & roller, nobody would have cared one iota. I go by this: Pete was great to watch and drew more people to the ballpark then 99% of all ball players. How zat?
