About the Author
BRUCE BASKIN has been a baseball fan ever since he went to a Seattle Pilots game in 1969. He later attended a tryout for the Seattle Mariners, where the only two things preventing the M's from signing him to a contract were his lack of hitting and fielding. Bruce has been a public relations director for a number of amateur hockey teams, a semipro football team and a sprint car racetrack. He's been a radio sportscaster since the 1970's, covering hydroplane racing, prep basketball and football, Junior hockey and semipro baseball.

Currently, Bruce operates www.VivaBeisbol.Net, which is the only English-language website dedicated to pro baseball in Mexico; and also works for a radio station in Centralia, Washington, where he serves as a newscaster, sportscaster and disc jockey.
