Notes: + means in Japanese Hall of Fame, * means left handed pitcher, U means unknown, otherwise the number of saves given are those 1974 and after, while the total before then is unknown. A team name in bold type means it is the only one he played for. A pitcher's "main franchise" is the one he pitched the most innings for. Teams which merged into current franchises are considered part of that franchise.

Standards for Pitcher Selections:

     1) Pitcher is retired/out of the game AND
     2) Pitcher meets at least one of the following criteria:
          a) in Japan's Hall of Fame or
          b) has 300 or more rtg2 points (for more on this and the next measure, see here)
          c) has 150 or more career Estimated Win Shares plus points (see this article for details).
