THE WISDOM OF DIZ

The older I get, the more I think Dizzy Dean discovered the ultimate wisdom of baseball when he said, “The winner of this Series has already been decided, but we don't know which team yet.”
In 2004 there was no way the Red Sox could lose, Schilling’s bloody foot and all. In 2005 there was no way the White Sox could get a call against them or let the other team cross home plate more than they did. This year the Tigers seem to be the team the gods are smiling on.
We'll see.
