Descripion of Prime Time American Leaguers

Didn't like all of our choices for the Franchise All-Stars set or wish you had more players? This set is based on the remaining American League players in their prime. This includes players on the teams like the Royals, Blue Jays, and Rangers and HOFers, such as George Brett and Rollie Fingers; star players such as Ken Griffey Jr, and Bret Saberhagan; as well as players from the rest of the league. (Also see the All-Time NL Set).

These cards are not based on their best single season, but their best four consecutive (injury-free) seasons. Now you will really know what it was like to have these players on your team and be able to compare which players were the best over a four year span. In combination with the other prime time sets, you will be able to answer questions like "Who was better Clemens or Gooden?" From that question we don't mean over their career (Clemens was better) or best single season (Gooden was better), but who was better during their prime. We have the answer and both cards are gems.

This is a large set and a great value, containing 22 C, 24 1B, 24 2B, 24 3B, 24 SS, 144 OF and 336 Pitchers (almost 600 cards in all). Find out who made the cut (most players with enough playing time did) and how much they were worth! Each batters card has the four year batting averages and HRs along with clutch ratings, base stealing and fielding ratings.
